Project Overview

Parker Hollow Historic Culvert Reconstruction – Flood Restoration

As a result of the flood damage of 2006, which destroyed the historic culvert crossing the Carr’s Creek in the Town of Sidney, Eastman Associates reconstructed the 25-foot long culvert with 12 precast arch-shaped sections set on a cast-in-place footing. Wing walls were cast-in-place with laid-up stone facing and cap field installed for aesthetically pleasing end treatment. The site was further enhanced through the use of terraced, structural retaining walls using segmented blocks.
